House in the Glens

Things are starting to progress on site again in the Glen, with the stone work almost complete. The stone was all sourced on site and I’m sure you’ll agree, it looks stunning. The mortar has been recessed back from the face of the stone to give the look of a dry-stone wall, which really suits the ruggedness of the site at the foot of Knocklayde.

The timber glu-lam beams for the first floor have been installed and you can see the cantilevered master bedroom starting to take shape out the front of the house.

Work on the circular stairwell is also well underway, with the steel reinforcement in place and the in-situ concrete formed.  The timber structure beside the stairwell is actually the formwork for the stairs into which the concrete was poured.
