Rural Development Programme for 2014 – 2020

Have you a farm modernisation or tourism project in mind?  Grant funding by the NI Rural Development Programme is currently open.

Up until 2020, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs is offering Grant funding to modernise your farm, improve natural and built heritage or for tourism and conservation projects.

  • 2020 Architects are currently offering free site visits and feasibility studies on all relevant Grant schemes including the Farm Business Improvement Scheme and the Rural Tourism Scheme.
  • Under the Farm Business Improvement Scheme – a maximum Grant of £250,000 is available for construction projects and the purchase of higher value equipment linked to the needs in the farmer’s business plan.
  • Likewise, the Rural Tourism Scheme will invest in natural and built heritage projects, that can act as a key driver for encouraging rural tourism.  Under this scheme a minimum Grant of £250,000 and a maximum Grant up to £500,000 at 75% support level is available.
